Flu News--Writing Prompt

Despite a flu shot, I contracted the flu.  I have been sick for six days.  Since I know I'm not the only one, I decided to use the flu as our writing prompt for this week.

LE:  Mommy, I don't feel well.  My head....
UE:  My head feels like a ________ stepped on it. ...
MS:  I think the reason I feel so bad is that a ________ visited me last night and left me with .....
HS:  I have the flu.  I am very sick.  I know that because I don't even feel like talking on the phone.  My head is spinning and feels like it might...  This should be called .....
A:  The doctor said that since I took a flu shot, I only had a mild case of the flu.  I'd hate to see what a major case felt like.  I have diagnosed it as the Umpajowa. It is different from the flu because it.....

I Have a Dream

One of the most powerful speeches in history is the I Have a Dream by Martin Luther King Jr.  Everybody has dreams.  Sometimes they are good dreams and other times they are dreams we wish to forget.  Tell me about a dream you have had or 'dream up' a dream.  Remember a dream does not have to make sense.

It Fell Apart

LE:  I had a great Christmas.  We got up early and ate breakfast.  Then we went to the tree to open presents.  Everything fell apart when my brother opened a ....

 

UE:  You should have been at my house Christmas morning.  My brother did  the dumbest thing.  He opened a present from my grandparents and it was .....

 

MS:  Well I had an interesting Christmas break.  We were getting read for our family's Christmas Eve dinner.  The doorbell rang and ....

 

HS:  Did you hear what happened to Jim?  He was driving home the day after Christmas when suddenly...

 

A:  My New Year's Eve didn't go as planned.  We were having a good time when Eloise walked in.  That's when everything fell apart.  Here's what happened....
