Welcome To Prompted 2 Write

I have always loved writing and taught it in my classes, no matter the grade. After retirement, I published several books and began blogging. I love it, but there are days when I can't think of anything to write. When I taught writing to children, I always gave them a writing prompt, making it easier for them. I hope to post writing prompts for all ages. This site will be helpful to homeschoolers as well a classroom teachers. It is for anyone who loves writing or anyone who is required to write. Please let me see some of your writing.

Prompted2Write--My Crazy Grandmother

My mother-in-law provided us with many laughs in her later years.  Here is just one example.  I was driving her to the doctor and she started the conversation:
Her: "My ears are stopped up."
Me: "I'm sorry.  What do we need to do about it?"
Her:  " I don't know.  Brad's ears were stopped up."
Me:  "Oh really?"
Her:  "Oh yeah, he had to call Fedex out to clean them."
Me:  "I did not know that Fedex offered that service."
Her:  "Oh yeah, they'll come if you call them."
I figured out she was trying to say he called the medics.  There were many more times, but some I can't write on a family friendly blog.  The funny part was that she didn't even know she had something inappropriate.  Please tell me your story.

LE:  My grandmother does the craziest things.  Last week she went on in her yard and...
UE:  If you knew some of the things my grandmother does, you'd laugh your head off.  One time my grandfather found her ...
MS:  My grandmother used to be fairly normal.  Then one day something happened and she has never been the same.  Here's the story..
HS:  I love my grandmother--except when she tries to use teenage slang to tell me something.  She can't keep the words straight and uses them all wrong.  She called my cell phone and tried to tell me about her shopping trip.  Here's what she said..
A:  Raising parents is much harder than raising kids.  At least the kids do somewhat normal things.  My parents do the dumbest things and then I have to take care of it.  Their latest escapade is...
